Recognition of large international organizations is essential for the dissemination and implementation of new technologies, including blockchain. Lectures, publications, forums and other events reveal the potential of the latest developments and present them for implementation to entrepreneurs.
Blockchain and software developed on its basis can be useful for data management of a variety of industries. This fact that FAO which is actually “the global government in food and agriculture“ supports and highlights the development of blockchain, depicts the current juncture in acceptance of this in innovation on governmental level.
December 10-11, 2019, FAO held an event
named “Digital Innovation Dialogue: Blockchain for sustainability in agriculture”.
Dialogue lecturers were invited to Rome for presentations. They talked about how blockchain can be applied in the current situation inside the food industry, how to boost transparency of food production and supply chains data and how to leverage blockchain for fixing the global inequality and lack of trust.
FCE Blockchain CEO Gregory Arzumanian was also invited
as a speaker. In his presentation, he focused on describing the company's developments and experience, and talked about plans to apply innovative technologies in real use cases.
FCE Blockchain is aimed to enhance food supply chains, making them manageable, traceable and transparent. The implementation of the software will increase customer’s credibility for local and small-scaled farmers, also giving them the interface for the direct interacting.
Today's food manufacturers need to use information technology. The availability, reliability and safety of product information become key factors in the choice of products by customers. In addition, the blockchain-based software gives a better control over the production and distribution of products, regularly performed automatically, reduces costs and provides an opportunity for qualitative analysis and planning of the company. The consumer, in turn, receives a quality trustable product at an honest price.
Agriculture is preparing for IoT optimization, and it is important that every even the smallest producer has access to the latest technologies. Gregory talked about how FCE Blockchain works and the benefits tools included brings.
