FOODCOIN Takes Part at the Discussion by EIC

Participation in major public events is an important part of FOODCOIN’s mission, and we take these opportunities to promote innovations. This is a critical point in Europe, as it lacks technological startups, giving the US, China and Japan the leading positions.

To resolve this problem, Europe founded European Innovation Council (EIC), which will invest 2 billion euros to groundbreaking projects in 2019-2020. Of course, it does not only include food and farmer spheres, but any cutting-edge technologies, like A.I., gene therapy, hydrogen fuel, etc

As a founder of a disruptive technological startup, FOODCOIN CEO Gregory Arzumanian was invited to London to take part in European Innovation Council. This event took place on June, 24. During the event, Gregory Arzumanian discussed ideas and potential of funding a pilot project in Europe, and what FOODCOIN can offer to improve it.
The event started with a short presentation by Jean-David Malo, Director of DG Research and Innovation, followed by panel discussion and Q&A with Priya Guha, Venture Partner at Merian Ventures and a Member of the Innovate UK Council, Tom Dawes, CEO at Valuechain Technology Ltd, Simon Edmonds, Interim Deputy Executive Chair at Innovate UK , and Bindi Karia, Founder and CEO at Bindi Ventures.

The European Innovation Council is planned to be open for all innovators, offering agile funding from idea to investment.

The main participants were representants of venture and innovation companies. The main topic of the event was funding opportunities for innovations and the ways to support European inventors and innovators. The event was followed by panel discussion and Q&A.
