Swiss cheese matches perfectly with different wines, fruits and nuts. However, the most delicious and useful pair for Swiss cheese will become new technologies from FoodCoin.

All summer cows spend in the Alps

High-quality cheese
The head of Swiss manufacture of the organic cheese named Sennereigenossenschaft Obergesteln cooperative Mr. Hubi Jost let the innovative combination appear in Obergedteln, ecological paradise of the canton Wallis. A couple of days ago Mr. Hubi Jost and dairyman Dietmar Benedetti signed an agreement with FOODCOIN on the transfer of the supply chain to the FOODCOIN ECOSYSTEM blockchain. This will help the classic type of production in tracking information from the very beginning and open new opportunities for growth and development.
“On our small dairy we produce a high-quality cheese, butter and yoghurt from the milk of the cows of four neighboring farms,” tells Dietmar. “All summer cows spend in the Alps, where they feed fresh alpine herbs and flowers. Therefore, the milk has an amazing taste and benefits health a lot.”
“We conducted a special milk transfer system from the Alp. The collected milk flows directly to our small shop in the valley through it. There, in special copper vats, milk is prepared to turn into cheese. Every morning we prepare a new batch of cheese”

When we see this unique natural handmade production and the amazing product, the question arises: how can there be any problems with the sale? What pushes the manufacturer towards new technologies?
“It's very simple,” says Dietmar. “Today our customers are locals, but they are less and less now, and larger wholesale distributors, who dictate the prices we have to agree with. This situation puts us on the edge of survival. Many farmers have already gone bankrupt, unable to withstand competition from large industrial producers. We do not want to change the traditional technology of cheese production. We know and love our work, but we understand that we need a new technology. It would not be a new type of cheese production, but an integration modern technology for our supply chain. We have been watching the progress of FOODCOIN for a year now and have decided to try the blockchain for our production.”
Dietmar’s diary is not the first company to join FoodCoin as a partner. FoodCoin already works with such European companies as The Turmeric Co and ALDIM GmbH. But the Swiss cheese factory will be among the first FoodCoin partners, and the blockchain developers in their process of work will be guided by the needs of this small production.

„The Sennereigenossenschaft Obergesteln“ dairy will become one of our early adopter, which we will help to enter the global market,” - said Gregory Arzumanian, CEO of FOODCOIN GROUP AG. “In the near future, everyone will be able to find these unique products at very affordable prices on the 1000Ecofarms platform and have them delivered to their homes (the countries and delivery regions will need to be specified on the website).
Using QR-code, any customer will be able to track the whole history of the cheese, starting from the farm location, the date of milking, the date and place of production, the expiration date, the lab's conclusion, the shipping date and the recipient's data. Thus, the supply chain will become completely transparent to customers, and the manufacturer will be protected from the appearance of counterfeits on the market. Moreover, the price of such cheese will be more convenient than in the store.”
The implementation to the blockchain will not only help to improve the tracking process, but will also open the products for a larger number of customers. The producer will not have to change the technology of production or save money on the ingredients. The system will allow to reduce costs without deteriorating the quality of the product.
“Cooperation with Dietmar’s diary will allow us to prepare a proposal for millions of small farmers around the world. Farmers will receive a simple and convenient technology and become independent players in the global food market,” – assured Gregory Arzumanian. “At the same time, it will allow buyers around the world to choose exactly what they want to buy, not only the limited products from the local supermarkets. This will change the entire food market.”
